Second prize goes to Har Ghar Jal tableau in Lucknow R – Day parade
Lucknow: The tableau of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ambitious scheme “Har Ghar Jal”, which was included for the first time in the 74th Republic Day Parade, has won the second prize. It has got the second place in the tableaux of the office class.
Depicting the importance of clean water, in this tableau, the story of change brought about in UP by Har Ghar Jal Yojana was shown in different dimensions. Along with providing water to every house, women in every village are being trained to test water to make them self-reliant.
The work of giving technical training to the youth was also shown in the tableau. The Gram Sabha Secretariat with the villagers, the achievements of the department were also beautifully presented along with water reaching every house from the tap made from the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
Along with the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh and Namami Gange and Principal Secretary of Rural Water Supply Department Anurag Srivastava have congratulated the entire team of the department on this great achievement achieved by the tableau of the State Drinking Water and Sanitation Mission in the very first time itself.
On the occasion of Republic Day, a function was organized at the office of the State Drinking Water and Sanitation Mission at Kisan Bazar, Gomtinagar. The cultural programs enthralled everyone at the function. Artists of Bhatkhande and Sangeet Natak Akademi beautifully presented Har Ghar Jal Yojana of Jal Jeevan Mission through Kathak dance.
While singers Vinod Kumar Srivastava and Seema Khan enthralled with patriotic songs, artists of Chabutara Theater showed the benefits of Jal Jeevan Mission scheme in every village through street plays. The presentation of the office staff was also made on sight. During this, as soon as the tableau of the department appeared on the LEDs installed at the venue, the officers and employees involved in the event shared their happiness by clapping. Anurag Srivastava, Principal Secretary of Namami Gange and Rural Water Supply Department as chief guest, Dr. Balkar Singh, MD of Jal Nigam as special guest, Priya Ranjan Kumar, Executive Director of State Drinking Water and Sanitation Mission and all officers and employees were present.
