Lucknow: In the present time, increasing use of drugs in the society is becoming a cause of concern. Due to which the health of the person, his place in the society and his responsibility towards the family and society has decreased.
Today there is a lot of misuse of traditional and man-made drugs. In all this, injectable intoxication is playing an important role in spreading the problem of HIV/AIDS rapidly in the society especially in North India.
In such a situation, both traditional, man-made drugs / synthetic drugs are being misused in the state. The use of needles and the spread of HIV/AIDS through such use is giving a new dimension to this problem, especially in the North-Eastern states of the country.
In such a situation, it is necessary to take necessary steps for its prevention in the state so that more and more people can get rid of this addiction. In Lucknow’s Renaissance Hotel, how measures should be taken to reduce this abuse and proper treatment arrangements for those who have become addicted to this type of drug and made people aware to get rid of addiction.
A seminar was organized on this subject. Its main objective was to make police officers, officers associated with Narcotics Control and other main stakeholders aware that people who inject needles are not criminals, instead of punishment for them.
There is a need for sympathy and proper treatment. It was emphasized that Uttar Pradesh has a large population and people who are intoxicated can be relieved from them. Giving light on the work being done, he said that our organization constantly talks to the people who are intoxicated and makes every effort to get them free from them. There is a large increase in the number of drugs in the country, it can be reduced. Although the government also makes constant efforts for this, but our organization works on it on a large scale and efforts are made to identify the people and get them rid of it. Our volunteers are constantly in contact with the people so that they can be provided a better life because in today’s runaway life people are mostly studying in the drug addiction which they consider better for themselves. What is happening to his family because of this. People in the family are upset and they can’t even say anything, in such a situation, our entire team is engaged to take the family towards treatment, reducing the use of this drug. Along with medicines, their health is constantly taken care of by the organization and the Elton John AIDS Foundation supports us and keeps giving us all possible help.
On this occasion, people of the community expressed their views, who have faced this problem of drug addiction and are leading a happy life today through proper cooperation, guidance and proper treatment. BP Ashok , (Additional Superintendent of Police) present in the program Training) while keeping his point said that the YG Care organization should prepare a training module which can be used in the training of police personnel to understand their awareness and its sensitivity. Surveys and studies have indicated that commercial sex workers, transport workers, and street children, in general are at greater risk of addiction than the population.
