Meerut: Congress has intensified its preparations for the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi will start the ‘Sankalp Yatras’ to be taken out in UP on 29 September by holding a public meeting in Meerut. Congress workers have started preparations for the public meeting. Congress held a review meeting at PL Sharma Memorial Building. In the meeting, Congress’s national secretary and in-charge Dheeraj Gurjar examined the preparations for Priyanka Gandhi’s public meeting to be held on September 29.
In the meeting, Congress state vice president and West UP in-charge Pankaj Malik, general secretary Vidit Chaudhary, Sanjeev Sharma, state secretary and district in-charge Ajit Daula, city in-charge Naseem Khan, former minister Satish Sharma, former MLA Gajraj Singh and Phool Kunwar rallied the workers. Dheeraj Gurjar said that the Congress in Uttar Pradesh has entered the election fray under the leadership of Priyanka Gandhi.
Soon the Congress is going to start a journey of 18 thousand kilometers in Uttar Pradesh, this huge rally is the beginning of that journey. Whatever the Congress promises in its election manifesto, they fulfill them at all costs.
In the states of Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, farmers’ loans have been waived or the work done in the UPA government has been done. MGNREGA, RTI, Food Security Bill, Right to Education Act are the result of this.
This time too, whatever promises Congress will make in Uttar Pradesh, they will be fulfilled if the government is formed.
All district and city presidents of Meerut, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Baghpat, Bulandshahr, Amroha, Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur, Bijnor, Sambhal, Gautam Budh Nagar etc. were present in the meeting. Meerut district president Avnish Kajla, city president Zahid Ansari, spokesperson Harikishan Ambedkar, Mahendra Sharma, Asharam, Babita Gurjar, Akhil Kaushik, Manjit Singh Kochhar, Dr. Karmendra Singh, Anil Sharma, Rakesh Singh, Robin Nath Golu, Yogesh Rana etc. were present in the meeting.
