Shaligram Rocks to be used to carve out Lord Rama in Ayodhya gets resounding welcome in Bihar
Ayodhya: Shaligram Shila going from Janakpur in Nepal to Ayodhya is being welcomed at various places in Bihar. The idol of Lord Shriram and Sita will be made from this rock in the grand temple of Ayodhya. The Shaligram rock reached near the petrol pump in front of Ghariyari Chak village of Mehsi in East Champaran district on NH 28 on Tuesday morning. Here thousands of devotees showered flowers on the rock and gave a grand welcome.
Around 6 am in Mehsi, a crowd of women, men and children started gathering near the petrol pump to have a darshan of the Shaligram Shila. In no time, a crowd of thousands of people gathered. Mehsi started echoing with the announcement of Jai Shri Ram. MLA Shyam Babu Yadav led the whole crowd along with hundreds of his workers. People were very eager to touch the stone slab. Workers of Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal were also present in large numbers.
Two big Shaligram rocks are being taken to Ayodhya from Nepal. Idols of Shri Ram and Sita will be made from these. It is being told that these rocks have been extracted from the Shaligrami river of Nepal, which are crores of years old. These stones are being taken to Ayodhya through trucks. Crowds are gathering at various places on the way to have a glimpse of it. Shaligram Shila will reach Gopalganj on Tuesday, where Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Vijay Sinha will also visit.
