Sharmila Tagore making comeback with Gulmohar

Mumbai: Hindi cinema’s veteran actress Sharmila Tagore is returning to the film world after 12 years with ‘Gulmohar’. The actress will be seen playing an important role in the film as Manoj Bajpayee’s mother.

The story of the film revolves around love and conflict in a family. If Sharmila Tagore is to be believed, there are many disagreements between her family members as well, but she does not hurt anyone’s feelings.

She said – Very excited about my comeback on screen, feel energetic too, but yes feel a little tired too. In our era, there was no need to promote films. At that time films were the only source of entertainment for the people.

At that time there was neither TV nor OTT. The films would run for some 25 weeks and then another film would hit the theatres, leaving audiences to wait for new films. By the way, the experience of shooting the entire film was special, she said.
