Lucknow: The Finance Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Suresh Kumar Khanna informed that the total revenue of Rs 14661.89 crore was received in the month of September of the financial year 2022-23 in the main non-tax revenue items of the state, whereas in the month of September 2021-22, Rs 11538.16 crore. revenue was received.
In this way, Rs 3123.73 crore more revenue has been received in the month of September this year as compared to last year. He said that in the month of August of the financial year 2022-23, an amount of Rs 13024.46 crore was received in the main non-tax revenue items, which is 76.6 percent against the target of Rs 17010.60 crore.
In the month of September, the realization is 90 percent against the fixed target of Rs 16285.48 crore. In this way, Rs 1637.43 crore more has been received in the month of September as compared to the month of August.
The Finance Minister said that the total revenue received under GST in the month of September, 2022 was Rs 4746.57 crore, whereas in the month of September 2021 last year, the receipt was Rs 4290.92 crore. The revenue receipt under VAT in the month of September, 2022 was Rs.4623.30 crore, whereas the receipt in the month of September, 2021 last year was Rs.2200.40 crore. He said that against the target of Rs 2911.40 crore, the target of achievement in the month of September, 2022 under VAT is 158.8 percent.
Khanna informed that in the month of September, 2022, total revenue of Rs.2536.38 crore was received under excise, whereas in the month of September 2021 last year, the receipt was Rs.2559.85 crore. The revenue receipt for the month of September, 2022 under Stamp and Registration is Rs. 1978.84 crores while the receipt in the month of September, 2021 last year was Rs. 1801.30 crores. Under transport, the revenue receipt for the month of September, 2022 is Rs.593.32 crore, whereas the receipt in the month of September, 2021 last year was Rs.520.12 crore. Under geo-element and mining, the receipt in the month of September, 2022 is Rs. 183.48 crore, whereas the receipt in the month of September, 2021 last year was Rs. 165.57 crore.
The Finance Minister said that under the main tax revenue, Rs 31490.75 crore has been achieved against the target of Rs 45990.43 crore for the month of September, 2022 under GST, which is 68.5 percent of the target. Under VAT, till the month of September of the current financial year 2022-23, Rs.16095.76 crore has been achieved against the target of Rs.15678.76 crore, which is 102.7 percent of the target. Similarly, against the target of Rs 25036.96 crore under excise, Rs 18509.46 crore has been achieved, which is 73.9 percent. Against the target of Rs 15154.70 crore, Rs 12404.48 crore has been achieved till September 2022 under stamp and registration, which is 81.9% of the target. Similarly, against the target of Rs.5144.16 crore of revenue receipt till September of the current financial year under transport, Rs.4164.18 crore has been achieved, which is 80.9 percent of the target. He said that under the main item of non-tax revenue, till September, against the target of Rs. 1944 crore, Rs. 1249.91 crore has been achieved, which is 64.3 percent of the target.
