Sharp youngsters show their scientific bent at City International School event

Lucknow: The Asima Chatterjee STEM competition was organized at City International School in the state capital. About 200 girls from 45 schools across the country participated in this competition. They displayed their talent in the field of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Models made on the subjects of science, technology, engineering and mathematics of girls can make the daily life of people much easier.

On this occasion, Mohsina Mirza, Creative Head of City International School said that this competition for girls has been organized keeping in mind the International Women’s Day. The objective of this competition is to bring girls to the fore in the field of science and technology.

Dr. Sunita Gandhi, Director of City International School said that all girls should be interested in the education of science, technology, engineering and mathematics, irrespective of their background. Sunita Singh Dhawan, Principal Scientist, Plant Biotechnology Division, CSIR, who graced the program as the chief guest, shared her experience of DNA bank of medicinal and aromatic plants with the students.

Campus Principal Carmel Yagnagi at Manas City Campus said that we believe in the principle of equality of women and men, where equality means equal merit. She said that girls should be empowered with science, technology, engineering and mathematics education.
