Lucknow: As U.P witnesses a gradual relaxation of COVID restrictions and dipping Corona numbers, the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has made it very clear that there will be no lowering of guard on the health front.
The saffron clad Yogi in a recent meeting said that all must show readiness in controlling communicable diseases. There should be no negligence in this. The work of screening and surveillance of communicable diseases in children should be done on the basis of campaign priority.
He said side by side the work of test, trace and treat for Covid control will continue keeping all protocols in mind. He said police patrols should closely monitor any kind of protocol violations.
The Chief Minister said that corona infection is under controlled condition in the state but corona virus has not ended. Therefore, full vigilance and caution should be taken to prevent infection. During this, the officials said that medicine kits are being provided to the suspected infected persons. 75 Covid beds have been increased in various medical colleges of the state. It has 50 bed isolation and 25 ICU beds. Similarly PICU and NICU are also being prepared.
During the review, the officials said that there is sufficient availability of oxygen in the state. In the last 24 hours, 338 metric tonnes of oxygen was supplied. Hospitals, medical colleges and refillers have backups of more than five days. The total number of oxygen plants operating, under construction and sanctioned in the state has gone up to 441. Out of these, 100 oxygen plants have become functional.
So far, the first dose of corona vaccine has been given to more than two crore people in the state. While 39 lakh 11 thousand people have got both the doses. Similarly, more than 50 lakh first doses of corona vaccine have been given so far to youth in the age group of 18 to 44 years.
