Shubman Gill proving to be the next Run Machine

Hyderabad: Shubman Gill created history in Hyderabad ODI against New Zealand. Shubman Gill completed his double century in ODI. Shubman Gill played a memorable inning of 208 runs off 149 balls. Gill completed his double century in the 49th over by hitting three consecutive sixes off Lockie Ferguson. Due to his innings, India scored a huge score of 349 runs for eight wickets.

Gill, 23, broke many records in this record-breaking innings. Gill has now become the youngest player to score a double century in One Day Internationals. Gill left behind Ishaan Kishan. Ishaan Kishan scored a double century against Bangladesh about six weeks ago. Then his age was 24 years 145 days. At the same time, Gill scored a double century even before the age of 24.

Shubman Gill is the eighth batsman in the world and the fifth batsman in India to score a double century in ODIs. Before Gill, Indian players Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Rohit Sharma and Ishaan Kishan had done this feat. Apart from this, Fakhar Zaman, Martin Guptill and Chris Gayle have achieved this position among foreign batsmen.

Shubman Gill made his ODI debut against New Zealand and  he created history against the same team. Gill also completed 1000 runs in ODIs during his innings. He is the fastest Indian batsman to score 1000 runs in this format. Gill left Virat Kohli behind in this feat.

Looking at the recent innings of Shubman Gill, it seems that it is difficult to stop him in ODI cricket. Gill has scored 1102 runs in 19 innings so far. During this, three centuries and five half-centuries have come out of his bat, including a double century. That is, in these 19 innings, Gill has definitely touched the figure of 50 runs eight times.
