Lucknow: Sonu Nigam today met the U.P. CM Yogi Adityanath at his residence. The meeting with the chief minister came a day after the singer paid obeisance to Lord Rama at Rama Janmabhoomi and also attended the aarti. In his brief interaction with the media, he said he wishes to present a brick for the Lord Rama temple in Ayodhya.
Winding up the Ayodhya leg of his tour, he reached Lucknow where he met Yogi Adityanath at his official residence. They also posed for pictures. U.P. CM gifted the singer a coin launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a book on Kumbh Mela.
After meeting Yogi, Sonu said, “Yogi is a dynamic and far-sighted person. I was in Lucknow and had the opportunity to visit the Ram temple in Ayodhya. Tomorrow, I will be going to Kashi Vishvanath.”
Commenting on the under-construction Rama Mandir, he said, “The most beautiful thing (Ram Mandir) is being constructed in Ayodhya. It will be India’s pride.”
Sonu Nigam spent a rather lonely new year in Dubai. In his video, he said that 2020 has been an emotionally draining year. Sharing the video, he wrote, “#SonuLiveD VLog 99 My ‘Lonely’ New Year 2021! (sic).”
According to reports, Sonu Nigam was accompanied by Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam and filmmaker Sandeep Ssingh during his Ayodhya trip.
