Single use plastic ban comes into force, campaign to raise awareness on

Firozabad: Single use plastic has been banned in UP. The use of single use plastic was completely banned in Suhagnagri from Friday. Heavy fine will also be imposed for its use. In this regard, on the second day of this campaign being run by the Municipal Corporation from Wednesday, people were fully made aware about the harm caused by single use plastic. The campaign started from the railway station in which apart from the officials of Municipal Health Department, both the brand ambassadors, Environment Pollution Board, Railway Department officials besides NCC cadets were also present.

During a program at the railway station, all the officers involved in the campaign, Brand Ambassador Seema Rani, Nitesh Kumar Jain lifted polythene, single-use plastic waste on the railway line apart from the railway station and kept it in the coaches and the people doing such work. Told about the damage caused by it. He also made the passengers present at the railway station fully aware about the environmental pollution caused by single-use plastic. On behalf of the Municipal Corporation, Municipal Health Officer Dr. Pratap Singh, Zonal Sanitary Officer Dalveer Singh besides Sanitation Inspector Arvind Bharti were present.

Everyone took oath during the program

During this, a grand oath program was organized at the railway station in which everyone took an oath that we poets will not use single-use plastic and will not allow anyone to do so. The station master asked all the passengers not to violate the rules or else penal action would be taken against them.

Factory should be closed for plastic ban

Rajesh Gupta, brand ambassador of Kalpataru Jeevan Foundation and Swachh Bharat Mission, said that if the production of polythene is completely stopped in factories, its use will automatically stop. Abhay Dixit, Mukesh Gaur, Mahaveer Agarwal, Mukesh Babu Kulshrestha, Ed VK Gahrana etc. were present in the meeting.

Made school children aware

Under this, a program was organized by the municipal authorities at Junior High School in Salai. In this, the officers of the corporation gave detailed information about the harm caused by single news plastic to the children. Told them neither to use it themselves nor let others do it. Apart from juniors, children of primary school were also present on this occasion.
