SMS celebrated 25th National Technology Day
Lucknow: On the 25th National Technology Day 2023, a technical talk was held at the School of Management Sciences, Sultanpur Road, in which all the teachers and technical laboratory instructors participated and celebrated this day with great enthusiasm.
On this occasion, the Secretary & Chief Executive Officer of the Institute, Mr. Sharad Singh described the Pokhran Nuclear Test which was conducted by India on May 11, 1998 as a milestone for the country’s strength. Due to which the country has made its place in the world today in technological development.
Dr. Manoj Mehrotra, Director in his address mentioned that India is now the third most attractive investment destination for technology transactions globally and there has been a lot of progress in the scientific field.
Dr. Bharat Raj Singh, Director General (Technical) in his speech said that in the 21st century, India has found its place among the top five countries for space research globally, which definitely shows that India has a strong scientific field and space. In exploration, it has made a mark with its moon missions and Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) making great strides. Along with this, he also highlighted the progress of SMS made in the technological sector from 2008 to 2022. The progress of C.V. Raman, Vedic Science Centre, Kalam Center and Entrepreneur Center were also explained in detail. He also said that more than 10 patents were received by Faculty members, some of which have reached the stage of commercialization.
The program was conducted by Dr. Hemant Kumar, Dean-Technical, Welcome address by Dr. Dharmendra Singh Associate-Director and Vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. P.K. Singh , Dean-Student Welfare. On this occasion, Chief General Manager of the Institute Dr. Jagdish Singh, Joint-Director, V.B. Singh, Registrar, Dean, Professors and other teachers and staff, students were also present.
