Lucknow: The Oxygen Express made a record of supplying of more than 783 metric tonnes of oxygen in the last 24 hours. 10 metric tonnes of oxygen has been allocated for the COVID Hospital created by DRDO.
The Oxygen Express has reached Lucknow with 10 oxygen containers from Jamshedpur. Oxygen Express has reached the railway station from Tatanagar station in Jamshedpur. This is the largest oxygen consignment reaching Lucknow so far. At the same time, CM Yogi has instructed the officers of all the districts of the state to nominate a responsible officer to supply oxygen refiller to the patients in home isolation.
Out of 10 oxygen containers reaching Lucknow, 4 oxygen containers were allotted for Kanpur and 6 containers for Lucknow. Two containers were loaded on each wagon.
About 80 metric tonnes of oxygen was brought from this train. DRM Sanjay Tripathi said that the distance from Tata Nagar to Lucknow is 975 km. In such a situation, the Oxygen Express arrived making use of a green corridor. A technical staff team was also part of the train, which has been checking the pressure of the container on the way.
Additional Chief Secretary, Home, Avnish Kumar Awasthi said that 350.12 metric tonnes of oxygen has been supplied to the refilers by the Food Safety and Drug Administration Department. Also, as a result of the efforts of the government, 309 metric tons of oxygen has been supplied to medical colleges and medical institutions in the state and 124.19 metric tons of oxygen has been supplied directly to private hospitals by oxygen suppliers. In this way, more than 783 metric tonnes of oxygen has been supplied in the last 24 hours in government and private hospitals across the state.
CM Yogi Adityanath nominated one oxygen refiller each in all districts of the state to supply home isolation patients.
