Lucknow: While Didi and Dada flex muscle to prove their worth in the Battle for Bengal, a different kind of poster war is brewing in the state capital of Uttar Pradesh. A SP leader IP Singh has put up posters in the city questioning the Modi led Centre of unfulfilled promises.
These posters have comeup in some parts of the city where the SP has tried to corner the Modi regime over rising fuel prices. Singh has not only put up a banner poster but has also lodged his protest on Twitter. On Twitter, he has written that whoever does false propaganda, overthrow such a government, BJP should not forget its great advertisement, so I have again put those advertisements around the city of Lucknow.
He wrote – I urge all of you to get these hoardings up across the country and remind the Prime Minister of his hollow promises. Petrol: 100 not out. Such advertisements have been seen in and around Lohia Path.
The poster however was swiftly removed as soon as the police came to know about it. All the banner posters that were put on the road from Hazratganj to Lohia Path have been removed.
In 2019, BJP had removed IP Singh from the party which he served till then. Singh has in the past opened fronts against the UP CM Yogi and the central government. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, he offered his house in appreciation of Akhilesh Yadav’s electoral candidacy for Azamgarh. Singh after his exit from BJP, he joined the SP.
