SP raises concerns on massive reservation scam in the recruitment of 69,000 teachers
Lucknow: State President of Samajwadi Party and MLC Naresh Uttam Patel has said that there was a massive reservation scam in the recruitment of 69,000 teachers of the Basic Education Council in 2018.
Due to the recruitment scam, thousands of extremely backward class and scheduled caste candidates were deprived of getting appointment. The candidates continuously protested and agitated for their demands but the government ignored them.
Naresh Patel said that the candidates filed a petition in the National Commission for Backward Classes. The National Commission for Backward Classes accepted that there was a reservation scam in the recruitment of 69,000 teachers. Reservation rules were not followed.
The government also admitted that there was a scam of reservation in teacher recruitment. A list was made to include 6800 backward and Dalit candidates in the recruitment.
But the appointment was not given. The government kept giving assurances but did not give appointments.
There has been a reservation scam in all the recruitments done in the BJP government. The BJP government is anti-Dalit, anti-backward.
The BJP government traps the reservation of jobs in a legislative quagmire. The reservation rules were not followed in the recruitments made in the BJP government.
SP State President said that Samajwadi Party is with 6800 candidates eligible for reservation. The government should give appointment letters to the eligible candidates. He said that BJP is killing democracy by spreading anarchy in the entire state. There was huge corruption and rigging in the elections of cooperatives. Nomination papers of Samajwadi Party candidates were not allowed to be submitted. In many places neither the nomination papers were found nor the officers were found sitting in the offices.
