Special dressing up of Lord Krishna to catch the eye this time in Kanha’s Mathura
Mathura: Lakhs of devotees coming to the birthplace of Kanha on Shri Krishna Janmashtami will see the unique adornment of Thakur ji this time.
According to Shri Krishna Janmasthan Seva Sansthan Secretary Kapil Sharma, the pilgrims coming to the birthplace of Lord Krishna will not only be able to see the appearance of Thakur (Thakur ji) in the silver lotus flower, but will also be able to see the first consecration of Thakur by the gold-plated silver Kamdhenuswarupa cow statue, but before that in Morchhalasan.
After sitting, you will be able to walk to the Abhishek place and have darshan of the shrine. This time, arrangements have also been made to enshrine Thakur ji in Somnath Pushp Bungalow. Kanha’s consecration will take place on September 7 under the chairmanship of Mahant Nritya Gopaldas, President of Shri Krishna Janmasthan Trust.
According to the Secretary, Thakur’s doors will remain open for more than 20 hours. This time such arrangements will be made that the devotees do not face any problem in having darshan. Janmashtami will start on 7th September at 5.30 am with the playing of Shehnai and loud sounds of drums and drums.
After this, the Abhishek program will last for more than an hour amidst Vedic mantras. Charanamrit of Abhishek will be distributed among all the devotees present in the Shri Krishna Janmasthan premises at that time.
There will be a Shraddha program from 10 am in the morning in which well-known artists of the country will pay their respects at the feet of Thakur (Thakur ji) through their musical instruments and well-known saints will deliver sermons on this occasion.

Reportedly the Abhishek program will continue from 12:05 to 12:20 on the night of Janmashtami and after this, the Maha Abhishek of Kanha will continue till 12:40. After this, Shringaar Aarti will take place till 12.50 pm and darshan will remain open. Shayan Aarti will take place from 1:25 to 1:30 and after that the darshan will stop.
He said Prasad is given to every devotee who comes to the birthplace on Janmashtami. This time also this arrangement will be made at the exit gates. Since the number of devotees coming is in lakhs, the preparation of non-perishable Prasad has already started.
On the other hand, Gopeshwarnath Chaturvedi, a member of Shri Krishna Janmasthan Seva Sansthan, said that this time arrangements have been made to keep the luggage of pilgrims on the three main routes leading to the birthplace. Pilgrims have been advised to leave electronic items at their place of stay before coming for darshan. Medical arrangements will also be made by the District Health Department at the place of storage of goods. A lost and found center will be set up in the premises of Ayurveda Bhawan. Since the work of decoration of the birthplace has started, Shri Krishna Sankirtan Mandal has made arrangements for a Bhandara for all the devotees for a week from today itself. Overall, efforts are being made by Shri Krishna Janmasthan Seva Sansthan to make the arrangements even better than last year.
