Lucknow: Jal Jeevan Mission’s Har Ghar Jal Yojana has so far accomplished the target of providing tap connections to 75 lakh households in Uttar Pradesh. At the same time, on this achievement, ‘Har Ghar Jal 75 Lakh Nal’ ceremony was organized by the department at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan in capital Lucknow.
At the same time, Uttar Pradesh Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh, along with Minister of State for Jal Shakti Dinesh Khatik, Minister of State Ramkesh Nishad, Namami Gange and Principal Secretary of Rural Water Supply Department Anurag Srivastava, Director of State Drinking Water and Sanitation Mission Ranjan Kumar and other departmental officers were also present in the programme. At the same time, employees, officers and representatives of associate institutions, who did commendable work in providing tap water to every house in rural areas, were felicitated.
On the other hand, Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh said that today we have accomplished the target of providing tap connections and pure water to 75 lakh households. He further said that by 2024, the arrangement of tube wells and pure water in every house would be completed. For which training is being given to women in villages to test water. He further said that there should be a feeling in everyone’s mind while working that I work, I work for nationalism, I work for the welfare of the poor. That’s why working to provide water to the poor is a virtuous act.
