Special ODOP kits to be gifted to Khelo India University Games participants

Lucknow: Young talents from all the universities of the country are ready to showcase their sporting talents in the Khelo India University Games-2022 to be held in UP. Players have started reaching UP to participate in the University Games. Players participating in these competitions will be gifted ODOP kits by the state government. Additional Chief Secretary, Sports and Youth Welfare Dr. Navneet Sehgal said this in a meeting organized at the control room of BBD UP Badminton Academy.

He has given instructions to strengthen the help desk system at the airport, bus station and railway station, to increase branding at the airport, bus station and railway station in Lucknow, Gautam Budh Nagar, Varanasi and Gorakhpur. He said that the Khelo India University Games to be held in UP will be organized in a grand manner. No stone will be left unturned in organizing the games.

Dr. Navneet Sehgal said that the Khelo India University Games will start from May 23 at Noida’s Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex with a Kabaddi match. Navneet Sehgal instructed to repair all the arrangements at the venue.

Along with this, he said that the process of arrival of players participating in these games has started. Proper arrangements should be made for their transportation and proper deployment of volunteers should be done for their convenience.

Apart from improving the help desks at the airport, bus station and railway station, Sehgal instructed to set up help desks at the venue as well. Navneet Sehgal said that along with this, games related clips should be run on local TV channels in all the four cities for wide publicity of the Games. Sports should also be telecasted on big screens at the intersections.

Reviewing the preparations for the inauguration ceremony to be held at BBD University on May 25, he said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be the chief guest of the ceremony. The Prime Minister will join the ceremony virtually.
