Special Security Force to take over security arrangements at Lord Rama temple

Lucknow/Ayodhya: The responsibility of security of the grand Ramlala temple at Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya will be handed over to the Special Security Force (SSF) of Uttar Pradesh before the proposed Pran Pratistha program in January next year.

Authorized sources said on Thursday that 280 SSF personnel will be deployed for the security of Ram Janmabhoomi. SSF has been formed by the UP government for special security of important sites and includes personnel of Uttar Pradesh Police and PAC.

At present, 12 companies of PAC are deployed for the security of Ram Janmabhoomi complex. The innermost part is guarded by the CRPF while the civil police is deployed on the outer part of the temple and at the checking points.
