Special State of the Art Military Hospital gets green signal
Meerut: A Multi-super specialty military hospital with state-of-the-art facilities will be constructed in Meerut in West UP. Its objective is to provide better medical facilities to the soldiers and military family members engaged in the service of the country.
This multi super specialty military hospital will be constructed in Meerut at a cost of 379 crores. This will be a construction of 545 beds. Station Commander and Brigadier Rajeev Kumar has confirmed this.
About a decade ago, the need for a military hospital with state-of-the-art facilities was expressed by the Central Command in the West UP sub-area. A proposal was made for this in 2011-2012. In 2012-2013, this proposal was first sent to the Central Command and then to the Defense Ministry.
After several rounds of long discussions, it was placed in the High Power Committee of the Ministry of Defense. Now the Ministry of Defense has approved the construction of a multi-super specialty military hospital with state-of-the-art facilities on the defense land in Meerut. On the other hand, in the capital Lucknow as well as in Meerut, state-of-the-art military establishment will be setup. The hospital has been approved, which will be the largest military hospital in the Central Command.
The land is marked between Bhagat Chowk to Aughadnath temple
For the Multi Super Specialty Military Hospital, the army has already marked the land between Bhagat Chowk to Aughadnath Temple. The board of ‘Site for MH’ had already been installed on the land proposed by the army. Now the Ministry of Defense has approved the project. There is a possibility that there will be a program of Bhoomi Pujan very soon. After that the construction of this hospital will start. Soldiers, ex-servicemen and their families from 14 districts of western Uttar Pradesh will be benefited from this new military hospital.
