SRMS Medical College honors cancer survivors on World Cancer Day

Bareilly: Patients who fought and defeated cancer were felicitated on World Cancer Day by Sri Ramamurthy Memorial Institute of Medical Sciences. Cancer survivors shared their knowledge of the disease and their experiences during its treatment.
Everyone expressed satisfaction over the treatment received at SRMS Medical College and appreciated the doctors and staff here. SRMS Trust founder and chairman Devmurthy appreciated the courage of all cancer patients and gave a message to make others aware to prevent this epidemic. He said that this cancer institute established in 2007 has completed 15 years. Meanwhile, about 35 thousand patients were treated here.
Devmurthy announced 10 percent concession on all kinds of treatment for all cancer patients and their family members who have been treated here. He said that this concession will be available till January 31 next year. Cancer is one of the fastest growing diseases today. This can be avoided by controlling balanced diet and lifestyle.
For this awareness is necessary. Aditya Murthy, Director Administration of the Medical College, said that in the memory of Pujya Babuji, Chairman Sir established the SRMS Trust and through it resolved to provide world-class treatment to the common people at affordable rates.
It is a relief to see the resolution being fulfilled by successfully treating an epidemic like cancer. I believe that cancer can be prevented with awareness and even if someone is affected by it, it is not difficult to be completely healthy. We all are with you. Medical Superintendent Dr. RP Singh assured everyone that cancer treatment is being given in big hospitals like Mumbai and Delhi. The same world class treatment is available at SRMS Medical College.
Dr. Piyush Aggarwal, Head of the Department of RR Cancer Institute and Research Center, gave information about cancer and told about the techniques and equipment available in the center along with measures to prevent it. Dr.Rashika Sachan conducted the programme. On this occasion Principal of Medical College Dr.SB Gupta, Dr.Mahendra Singh Badola, Dr.Arvind Singh Chauhan, Dr.Pawan Mehrotra, Dr.Ayush Garg, Dr.Shubhanshu Gupta, Dean PG Dr.Rohit Sharma, Dean UG Dr. Neelima Mehrotra, team of cancer center and all heads of departments were present.
