STAR MANIPUR FOOTBALLER MAKES INTERNATIONAL CUT

Mumbai: Star forward Dangmei Grace has become the third Indian footballer to get a professional contract from a foreign club. She has joined Uzbekistan Super League club FC Nasaf.

Dangmei’s former club Gokulam Kerala posted on Twitter – She is going to represent FC Nasaf from the coming season. We wish them the best. Will see you soon playing in Uzbekistan. The Uzbekistan Super League started in June and will run till December 15. FC Nasaf has informed this in a letter to Manipur Youth Affairs and Sports Department.

Club Director General A Yusupov wrote, “She is scheduled to play in 3 tournaments during the contract – Women’s League, Uzbekistan Cup (Knockout Tournament) and Uzbekistan Super Cup. This league will give her a lot of experience at the international level and it is going to help her in developing football skills and career. This winger from Manipur has been adjudged ‘AIFF’s Emerging Player of the Year’ in 2019.
