Steady increase in Footfall at Kashi Vishwanath Dham
Varanasi: After the construction of the corridor in Kashi, all the records of donations in Vishwanath Dham were broken. Devotees have made five times more offerings than last time. In Sawan, 1.63 crore 17 thousand devotees attended Baba Darbar and donated Rs 16.89 crore. According to Sunil Verma, Chief Executive Officer of Dham, offerings worth Rs 16.89 crore have come in the Sawan of 2023. Whereas in Sawan of 2022 it was 3 crore 40 lakh 71 thousand 065. 1.63 crore 17 thousand devotees have seen Baba in Sawan. After the construction of the Dham, this increase has been recorded due to the ease of darshan of Baba along with basic facilities in the courtyard. It is noteworthy that this year due to Adhik Maas, Saavan was of about two months.
Sunil Kumar Verma told an agency that the temple trust is continuously trying to improve the facilities for the devotees. 50 employees are working for better arrangements and easy darshan arrangements for the visitors and tourists. Apart from this, two hundred sweepers and 100 personnel have been deployed for better security and convenience of the visitors. Lockers and helpdesk are also installed in the Dham.
