Stories of Nationalist icons of Revolutionary Spirit regale book lovers at Lucknow Book Fair

Lucknow: Books are always the best way to send across a message. Coming to the fair, it is known that through books, the general public is being made aware by telling them about the country’s cultural literary heritage, freedom movement and great men. Among these government publications are leading.

Sushilkumar Singh’s play Woh Suraj Tha based on the life of Deendayal Upadhyay, Dr. Radheshyam Dubey’s Acharya Vishwanath Prasad Mishra, Dr. Dayanidhi Mishra’s main languages of India: Contemporary trends among the new books published this season on the stall of Hindi Sansthan are among the publications of the institute, books like Ghagh and Bhadari’s proverbs, Urdu language and literature, Urdu-Hindi dictionary, Itihaas of Dharmashastra and Tarikhe Farishta etc. are in high demand.

A set of 10 children’s stories by Premchand is available here in children’s books for just Rs.128. In the Amrit Mahotsav year of Independence, the National Book Trust has brought out and reprinted books in the India 75 series on great heroes like Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, Homi Jehangir Bhabha, Major Dhyan Chand, Subrahmaniya Bharti, Tatya Tope, Mahadev Govind Ranade, Nanaji Deshmukh, Lok Nayak . Samudragupt Kashyap’s Untold Stories of the Freedom Struggle from Northeast India along with Netaji a Life in Picture, Rajendra Mohan’s Young Sanyasi on Swami Vivekananda and Milind Damle’s monograph on filmmaker Gajanan Jagirdar are among the books published in the current session on the stall of the Publications Department.

Here 90 percent discount is being given on 15 years old publications, 60 percent on books published from 2008 to 2013, 50 percent on books published from 2014 to 2018 and 10 percent on books published after that.

In association with Alka Pramod, among those feleicitated were – Swaroop Kumari Bakshi, Dr. Shanti Dev Bala, Dr. Sheela Mishra,  Saroj Gaurihar,  President Dr. Usha Chaudhary, Executive President Sharda Lal, General Secretary Alka Pramod, Hemlata Sharma, Ratna Kaul, Nirupama Mehrotra, Usha Awasthi presented  memoirs.
