Stream of visitors come to Raj Bhawan to wish Governor Happy Diwali
Lucknow: On the auspicious occasion of Deepawali, the state’s ministers, dignitaries, senior administrative and police officers met the Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Anandiben Patel and congratulated her.
Urban Development and Energy Minister Arvind Kumar Sharma, Minister of State for AYUSH (Independent Charge) Daya Shankar Mishra’ Dayalu, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Prisons and Home Guards Dharamveer Prajapati, Minister of State for Forest and Environment, a large number of dignitaries including KP Malik, former minister Mahendra Singh, Mayor Lucknow Sanyukta Bhatia among others.
Earlier, all the officers, employees and children of Raj Bhavan including Principal Secretary Kalpana Awasthi met the Governor and congratulated them on Diwali. On this occasion, the Governor congratulated the class IV and outsourcing personnel working in Raj Bhavan by distributing gifts and sweets on the occasion of Diwali and wished them a happy life.
In his address, the Governor said that Diwali brings along with faith and belief the message of cleanliness. Therefore, we should take a pledge that while working with the spirit of unity, integrity and brotherhood, we will work with full devotion and dedication to make our state and country clean, healthy and prosperous. He said that when we move ahead with a big thinking, only then the family, society and the country will move forward. Our children have great receptivity power. They learn very quickly by watching. Therefore, elders should not do any such wrong thing, seeing that children also learn wrong. The elders of the family should keep motivating them all the time to bring out the dormant powers hidden inside the children, only then the all-round development of the children will be possible.
