Streamlining PM Kisan Samman Nidhi On Cards
Lucknow: The Agriculture Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Surya Pratap Shahi with officers of the insurance company working in the state, along with the officials of the banks, implemented the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana and reorganized weather based crop insurance scheme and Kisan Credit Card (KCC) issued in the state. While reviewing the Kisan Credit Card in the state, the representatives of the bank were directed to take action to provide Kisan Credit Card to all the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi beneficiaries.
While reviewing the weather conditions in Kharif 2022 in the state, it was directed by the Agriculture Minister that till now from June to July 17, 2022, only 35.5 percent of its normal rainfall has been received by the state, due to which the state has received only 35.5 percent of its normal rainfall.
Shahi asked the farmers to reduce the premium rate on horticultural crops/annual cash crops from 5 percent to 3 percent, 50 percent of the amount quantified for publicity to insurance companies should be made available to the state government for publicity etc. In the said review meeting, SLBC, NABARD, Institutional Finance, Bank of Baroda, SBI, Pratham UP Gramin Bank, CSC, Insurance companies along with officials of Baldev Singh Aulakh, Hon’ble Minister of State for Agriculture, Government of Uttar Pradesh, Devesh Chaturvedi, Additional Chief Secretary , Agriculture, Anurag Yadav, Secretary, Agriculture, Government of Uttar Pradesh and Rajesh Kumar Gupta, Director, Agricultural Statistics and Crop Insurance, Uttar Pradesh were present.
