Street vendors, basic amenities core focus for Congress in civic polls

Lucknow: Addressing the press conference at the State Congress Headquarters, Mayor candidate Sangeeta Jaiswal said that the respected people of Lucknow who are giving us immense affection and support, I can claim that hatred will lose and love will win. Enumerating his priority, he told that clean roads, drains and streets will be visible in the city of Lucknow and pure drinking water will be provided free of cost to every citizen, as well as beautification of religious places and parks, on a large scale to maintain the high quality of the environment. The campaign will be run.

Sangeeta Jaiswal further said that every poor, destitute will be provided free food through Indira Canteen. Arrangement of high quality library will be ensured for the students preparing for competitive examinations in the city and all kinds of newspapers and magazines will be arranged for the senior citizens.

Along with this, construction of a shelter will be done to completely get rid of stray animals and arrangements will be made for a safe place for the cattle. Regular spraying of medicines and insecticides from time to time for the prevention of communicable diseases, there should be no water logging in the drains, roads should be kept clean, hence better management of water drainage will be done.

She said that the hospitals and schools run by the Municipal Corporation will be made of high quality. Arrangement of proper space for street vendors, handcarts and weekly markets will be ensured free of cost. Arrangements will be made to connect the sewer line of the city with STP (sewer treatment plant) and for disposal of garbage. House and water tax system will be made cheap and accessible.

Sangeeta Jaiswal further said that the parking system located near public places will be made systematic, beautiful and cheap. On religious festivals and events, cleanliness, lighting and free arrangement of pure drinking water will be ensured in all religious places without any discrimination. Free availability of e-rickshaw charging stations will be ensured.

Addressing the press conference, former minister and provincial president  Nakul Dubey said that a BJP minister is spreading the illusion that 12 councilor candidates of the Congress party have joined the BJP, which is a complete lie. The BJP is trying to mislead the people of the capital by spreading lies in the event of the Congress not being able to compete against the mayor candidate, to which the respectable public will give a befitting reply on the coming 4th May.

Dubey said that the BJP is talking about getting membership, in which Rekha Singh from Ward No. 44 has been told that she is not the Congress candidate at all, there Mrs. Sheelu Jaiswal has been nominated from the Congress party. Surendra Pal is not our candidate from ward number-52, where Mohammad Salim Tope is the candidate. Wasif Ullah is the authorized candidate from Congress party, not Ashok Sonkar from ward number-55. Sagir is the party’s candidate from Ward No. 84, not Islamuddin. Mohammad Arif is not our candidate from Ward No. 97, where Gunnaz Bano is the authorized candidate of the party.

Reena Yadav is not a party candidate from ward number-27, where the party has supported Rahmatul Nisha. Amit Gupta from Ward No. 20 has been mentioned in the membership by the BJP, who is not our candidate, where the party has given its support to Ankit Rajput. Not Pooja Srivastava but Asha Lodhi is the party’s candidate from ward number-31. There is mention of Rinki Mishra from ward number-40, whereas the party’s authorized candidate from there is Anwari Khatoon. Pradeep Gupta is mentioned from Ward No. 75, Sonu Rawat is mentioned from Ward No. 9, Reema Valmiki from Ward No. 7, Archana Srivastava from Ward No. 32, these people have been mentioned by the Congress party. No candidate has been selected.

Dubey said that the BJP is distraught after seeing its defeat and wants to gain power with the help of lies, which the public will never allow to happen. In the press conference, the famous artist of the film world Ranjit Vedi, and actresses  Vaishnavi McDonald, Arun Bakshi, Jimmy Moses gave their support to the candidate for the post of mayor,  Sangeeta Jaiswal and the councilor candidates.

Uttar Pradesh Congress media convenor Ashok Singh, spokesperson Krishnakant Pandey, Vikas Srivastava, Priyanka Gupta, Rafat Fatima, Rajesh Jaiswal, etc. were prominent in the press conference.
