String of development works to be unveiled in Gorakhpur
Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath (CM Yogi) will gift development works worth about Rs 271 crore to Gorakhpur district on Friday.
Official sources said on Wednesday that CM Yogi will inaugurate 89 completed development projects worth Rs 221.10 crore of six implementing agencies and lay the foundation stone of 51 development projects worth Rs 49.48 crore of eight implementing agencies. This program of inauguration and foundation stone laying is proposed to be held in Champa Devi Park near Ramgarhtal.
The development projects to be inaugurated by the Chief Minister (CM Yogi) on Friday include 4 of Public Works Department Provincial Block, 8 of Public Works Department Construction Block 3, 6 of Rural Engineering Department, 1 of UP Projects Corporation Limited, 1 of National Projects Construction Corporation Limited. 20 projects of Jal Nigam Gramin and 50 projects of Jal Nigam Gramin are included.
Whereas, out of the foundation stone laying projects, the executing agency of 12 is UP Projects Corporation Limited, 1 is Public Works Department Provincial Block, 1 is C&DS (14), 4 is Police Housing Construction Corporation, 1 is UP CIDCO, 2 is UPCLDF, 4 is Rural Engineering. The executing agency of the department and 26 is National Projects Construction Corporation Limited.
Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam (Rural) has the highest number of development projects to be dedicated by the Chief Minister (CM Yogi). By spending Rs 184 crore 90 lakh 36 thousand on a total of 50 projects, provision of pure drinking water from tap to every house will be ensured in 50 gram panchayats.
With these new drinking water projects, pure drinking water will be available from tap to the people of Pipraich, Campierganj, Gorakhpur Rural, Chillupar, Khajni, Chaurichaura, Bansgaon assembly constituencies. It is noteworthy that the government is working to bring every village under the ambit of tap water scheme. In view of this, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has laid the foundation stone of rural drinking water projects costing more than Rs 2800 crore in the last six months. On September 2, he released Rs 567.21 crore for 193 villages and On June 20, the foundation stone of drinking water projects for 623 villages was laid at a cost of Rs 2245.28 crore.
