Stronger booth management helps pave way for greater electoral success: Dr. Dinesh Sharma
Lucknow: Addressing the Booth Empowerment Conference in Lucknow Metropolitan Central Legislative Assembly, former Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Dinesh Sharma said that the power of the booth is the real strength of the BJP. The better the booth management, the better the victory.
He said that whenever there is a government program, the party worker should be present there. It should also be ensured that the benefits of the scheme reach every person.
Addressing as the chief guest, he said that it should not be thought that the party will not get the vote of the people of any place or community. BJP’s victory in Rampur and Azamgarh has also destroyed the notion that people from minority communities are also joining the party.
The party is also promoting women. It is the only party which does not work on the basis of caste. BJP’s target is not caste but development. We have to strengthen our organization in every situation. Keeping the upcoming local body elections and Lok Sabha elections as the target, preparations should be made from now itself to achieve the goal of victory in them.
Dr. Sharma said that by becoming a participant in the happiness and sorrow of the public and meeting people on festivals, the role of party’s victory is prepared. It should not be expected that the candidate will go to the people because in BJP, the party contests the election, not the candidate, and the symbol of the lotus flower is considered as the candidate. He also gave the example of Gujarat for this and said that whenever there is talk of a candidate there, people refer to the lotus flower as the candidate. Everyone works unitedly to make him victorious. Every worker should be given due respect after ticket distribution. He said that there are many workers who have passed their whole life but did not get the ticket. Despite this, his attachment and dedication towards the party never diminishes.
He said that it was very difficult to work in the initial days of Jansangh and BJP. There was lack of resources and the Congress government used to harass a lot. Even publicity was not allowed. The work was done through donations. In such a time, BJP has progressed due to the dedication and firm work done by the organization in the hope of a bright future. Booth management is most important in this and the booth president is a strong link of the BJP.
The party also conducts separate programs at the booth level. Citing the example of Mann Ki Baat programme, he said that arrangements have been made to listen to it at the booth level. It is the responsibility of the booth president and the worker to spread the instructions of the Prime Minister. In the past, when there was no mobile, even then the BJP worker used to reach every corner of the country equally what was said from Delhi.
The former Deputy Chief Minister said that victory belongs to those who are strong at the lower level. BJP worker is disciplined and booth worker in the party becomes a big leader in future. Giving the example of his mayoral election, Dr. Sharma said that at that time the opposing candidates were resourceful, but our worker was more committed and dedicated. Whereas the dedicated worker became the basis of victory and the party won the election.
Media in-charge Praveen Garg told that BJP candidate of Central Assembly Rajneesh Gupta Bobby senior leader Amit Gupta Sunil Yadav Mandal President Jitendra Rajput Anand Pandey Ankit Singh Mukesh Singh Monty and other senior workers were present in the programme.
