Lucknow: A two-day sports competition was organized for foreign students by WOSY (World Organization of Students and Youth), the international students’ wing of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, at the Shivaji Park grounds of Lucknow University.
In this program, various sports were organized for the international students studying in Lucknow University, in which football, table tennis, Competitions were held in games like chess, netball and tug of war.
Vice Chancellor Professor Alok Kumar Rai was the chief guest in the program and the special guest was Prof. In-charge of international students of LU. RP Singh.
Lucknow University Athletic Association President Prof. Rupesh Kumar and WOSY State Convener Shivakann Bajpai honored all the winners by giving them trophies and medals. Program organizer Shivankan Bajpai said that WOSY keeps organizing such programs regularly. These competitions keep the foreign students living with us engaged.
African Queens team was victorious in the netball competition.
Shanika of Sri Lanka won the chase and Arnab Chakraborty of Bangladesh was the runner up. In table tennis, Andulam Gezahen of Ethiopia stood first and Rohla Naseri of Afghanistan stood runner up.
The football final match was played between the teams of Rampage and Jello. In which Jello defeated Rampage 2-1 in a thrilling match.
On this occasion, Nandini Jumuk Chapter Vice President, CEC member Rohulla and social media co-organizer Adheesh Srivaswata were also present.
