Swachhta Pakhwada kickstarts with much pomp and excitement

Lucknow: The main objective of the Swachhta Pakhwada program is to maintain a clean, healthy and better educational environment in the school, to develop self-respect in the children studying in schools, to awaken the sense of responsibility  in the children, discipline, service, brotherhood among the children. To help in developing the sense of organization and leadership, to maintain the continuity of infrastructure facilities in the school, to help in the development of character and personality in children, to increase awareness of health and cleanliness in children.

These views were expressed by Additional Chief Secretary, Basic Education, Deepak Kumar  while inaugurating the “Swachhta Pakhwada” at Upper Primary School, Hasanpur Khewli, Sarojini Nagar, Lucknow. He threw light in detail on the programs being conducted under the Swachhata Pakhwada and called upon all the people and children present there to make the cleanliness campaign a mass movement. The chief guest also administered the cleanliness oath to everyone in the programme.

Additional Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar started the program by garlanding the statue of Maa Saraswati and lighting the lamp. The chief guest and other distinguished guests planted trees in the school premises and observed the cleanliness-based exhibition.

On this occasion, District Magistrate Suryapal Gangwar made the children aware of cleanliness in the welcome speech and told them that the person who keeps cleanliness remains healthy. The Chief Development Officer explained the importance of cleanliness to the children.

Director General, School Education Vijay Kiran Anand, Additional State Project Director Madhusudan Hulgi, and Chief Development Officer Riya Kejriwal participated in the program as special guests. At the end of the programme, Additional State Project Director Madhusudan Hulgi proposed the vote of thanks. Cooperation was also received through Educate Girls and Dettol Banega Swasth India, associate organizations of Basic Education Department.

Along with special guests, Joint Education Director Pradeep Kumar, District School Inspector Rakesh Kumar, Divisional Assistant Education Director Shyam Kishore Tiwari, District Basic Education Officer Arun Kumar, Block Education Officer Rajesh Kumar, Block Education Officer Sarojininagar RP Yadav, Block Education Officer Gosaiganj, Ramraj, ARP members, students, guardians and public representatives should be present.
