Irrigation system is being made more effective with modern technology and scientific means. Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh is actively involved in this exercise. On reaching Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) on Tuesday, he had a long discussion with experts on speeding up the work of water management in the state. He said that with the use of technology in irrigation, a big change will be seen very soon.
Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh is busy in making the schemes of the department more effective and providing maximum benefits of irrigation projects to the farmers. The Department plans to promote the use of Artificial Intelligence to make it more effective. The use of artificial intelligence will prevent the erosion of canals and proper maintenance of canals. He also discussed this subject with the experts of AKTU. The Minister of Jal Shakti said on the occasion that agriculture and farmers are the priority of the government and irrigation system is its basis. Irrigation and Water Resources Department will make the irrigation system of the state more effective by using modern technology and scientific tools. The government is running various schemes for water management in the state. In which the most ambitious scheme is Har Ghar Jal.
In the coming time, every household in the state will have water supply through taps. Also, the cleanliness of the rivers is in the priority of the state government. In such a situation, technical cooperation and expert opinion play an important role. Keeping this in mind, Jal Shakti Minister Swatantradev Singh discussed in detail with the subject experts on the cleanliness of rivers, drains, ponds, wells etc. Expert and technical cooperation is necessary in this work. The Minister of Jal Shakti inspected the modern laboratories located at the Center for Advanced Studies. He also inspected and inquired about the Cyber Simulator, Industrial Automation Lab, Industrial Robotics Lab, 3D Printing Lab, Google Code Lab, Nano Center and Artificial Intelligence Lab located at the institute. Also asked about the use of these labs in various schemes.
