Lucknow: Principal Secretary, Social Welfare Dr. Hariom directed that a clarification should be issued by the district social welfare officers of districts with minimum progress on the basis of percentage of Aadhaar authentication under the old age pension scheme and the districts related to them under the scheme.
Principal Secretary, Social Welfare, Dr. Hariom in the meeting hall of the Directorate of Social Welfare, through video conferencing with all the Divisional Joint/Deputy Director Social Welfare Uttar Pradesh and all the District Social Welfare Officer/District Social Welfare Officer (Development) of the state were reviewing the progress of all the schemes being operated.
Dr. Hariom directed that the concerned District Social Welfare Officers of Hardoi, Rae Bareli, Unnao, Kheri, Bijnor, Rampur, Azamgarh, Moradabad, Aligarh and Lucknow should get the pending applications disposed off quickly under the National Family Benefit Scheme. The Directorate of Social Welfare should be compulsorily informed.
Dr. Hariom instructed to get clarification from the concerned District Social Welfare Officer, Kannauj Dinesh Godara in view of negligence in work under the scholarship scheme and to give adverse entry to the concerned employee Jitendra.
In the meeting, under the financial assistance scheme to SC/ST families affected by atrocity, disposal of applications with the highest pending cases as per the district rules and sanctioned payment on the received cases, the concerned officers directed to be done within a week.
Dr. Hariom has directed the District Social Welfare Officers and Divisional Deputy Directors of the districts with minimum progress under the Mukhyamantri Samajik Vivah Yojana to conduct mass marriages and increase their participation in marriage by achieving a minimum of 50 percent progress against the target set by the end of January, 2023. Instructed to distribute high quality matrimonial materials.
He instructed all the district social welfare officers to get the Abhyudaya Yojana centers operational in their respective districts at the earliest. Along with this, a calendar should be prepared of the activities to be done in the institution in 10 months. He directed the concerned officers to get approval from the district level committee constituted under the chairmanship of the District Magistrate and make arrangements for the maintenance, repair, improvement and personnel of the hostels as per the rules. He said that more and more people should be benefited by giving admission in old age homes.
He directed the Divisional Deputy Directors to inspect all the schemes run by the department operated from the concerned District Social Welfare Officer’s office and if there is any pending application form and payment etc. After marking the officer, the in-charge officer should inform the planning officer.
