The Kerala Story made tax free in Uttar Pradesh
Lucknow: After Madhya Pradesh, now ‘The Kerala Story’ movie is going to be tax free in Uttar Pradesh as well. CM Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to make this movie tax free. Along with this, it is also being told that CM Yogi will watch this film along with his cabinet.
Earlier the film was made tax free in Madhya Pradesh. At the same time, CM Mamta Banerjee has banned it in West Bengal. Politics is continuously increasing regarding this film. The decision has been taken by the cinema halls not to screen the film in Tamil Nadu as well.
PM Modi also mentioned
On the other hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi attacked Congress on the pretext of this film in an election meeting held in Karnataka a day ago. Also, ‘The Kerala Story’ was described as a film exposing terrorist conspiracies.
In a rally in Bellary in the election state of Karnataka, PM Modi said on Friday, Kerala is such a beautiful state of the country, where people are hardworking and talented. But the film ‘Kerala Story’ brings to the fore the terrorist conspiracies happening in that state.
He said, ‘It is unfortunate that Congress can be seen standing with this terroristic tendency trying to destroy the country. The Congress is also indulging in backdoor political deals with people with terrorist leanings. People of Karnataka should be careful with Congress.
Controversy over the film
Actress Adah Sharma starrer ‘The Kerala Story’ film is written and directed by Sudipto Sen and it was released in theaters on May 5 i.e. last Friday.
There were demonstrations against it in Kerala on Friday. The protesters shouted slogans outside the theater and demanded a ban on the film. They allege that the wrong image of the South Indian state has been presented in the film. At the same time, the Kerala High Court refused to ban the release of this film.
