Theater festival Indradhanush Rang Mahotsav 2022 organized by SRMS Theater Riddhima

Bareilly: Sri Ramamurthy Smarak Theater Riddhima is organizing Indradhanush Rang Mahotsav 2022, the second theater festival for theater lovers. This information was given by the founder, chairman of SRMS Trust, Shri Devmurthy ji in a special conversation with Lucknow Tribune.

He said that the first theater festival was held in November last year. Which was highly appreciated by the theater lovers. In this episode, this year again a second theater festival of six days is being organized. It will begin on November 1 with the play ‘Man Disposes Gad Proposes’ presented by Day Dreamers Foundation Group in Mumbai and directed by Salim Shah. While the finale will be with the play ‘Hi Handsome’ presented by Universal Little Theater in Kolkata and directed by Pratap Jaiswal on 6th November.

All the plays in the festival will be of one and a half hour duration. They will be staged twice daily from 4.00 pm to 5.15 pm and 5.45 pm to 7.00 pm. Shri Devmurthy ji said that Shri Ramamurthy Smarak Riddhima (A Center of Performing & Fine Arts) established in Bareilly on 8th February last year with the aim of preserving and reviving the common heritage of the country, has achieved a great success in classical dance, classical and It has made its own special identity in the field of easy music, theatrical arts, fine arts and theatre. Along with the establishment in February last year, in the same month, Basantotsav related to classical music and classical dance was successfully organized here. So far five national painting competitions have been organized here. National Music Competition Swaranjali and National Dance Competition have also been successfully organized here. For theater lovers, one play is staged here per week.

Theater lovers from other cities also reach to see it. A wonderful instrument museum is established in Shri Ramamurthy Smarak Riddhima (A Center of Performing & Fine Arts), recognized by Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya of Khairagarh, Chhattisgarh. In which more than two hundred rare instruments that have gone out of circulation have been preserved.

Most of them are such that even those who play it are no longer available. Seeing such instruments, along with the common people, music lovers are also surprised. This center, which cherishes the Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb and Indian classical music, dance and art, has made a unique identity in this field in a short span of time with the cooperation of all of you.
