Time for some Jashn and nostalgia
Lucknow: A get-together was organised in the city by Jashn-e-Itwar group for their Fauji Franciscans wing. It was a day to meet and greet one’s long lost batch mates and relive good old days on the premises of their alma-mater St Francis College Lucknow.
“The wing was formed eight years back. It has over 150 members and among them 40 were present at the event. The idea to form the wing was brought together old students who have joined forces. We have members ranging from the ranks of Air Vice Marshals to young captains. The oldest being Air Vice Marshal (retd) Prakul Kumar from 1971 batch and Lt Gen (retd) JS Yadav. We have been connected and. formed community for the former students even if they retired from their services and are based abroad.” shares Sandeep Chabbra from 1988 batch.
Many alumni members. joined from Delhi, Bengaluru, Raebareli and other cities as well as abroad.
The event was planned and executed by Deep Prakash, Manav Prakash, Tony Sikka, Shantanu Kumar, Dilip Khiaranjani and Mohit Jaggi. the core members of the group. The day was about badge giving, felicitation of the helping staff of the school and a high dose of nostalgia.
