Timely feeding of mother’s milk can work wonders for newborn: Anandiben Patel

Lucknow: State Governor  Anandiben Patel inaugurated the stalls/exhibition set up by various departments in the police line in Hathras district by cutting the ribbon. After this, visiting various stalls, she was informed in detail about the ongoing schemes and distributed tricycles to the differently-abled.

She directed the concerned departmental officers to provide sewing machines to the Divyangjans, so that they can increase their income by creating employment as well as becoming self-reliant.

The Governor held a review meeting of the schemes run by various departments in the recreation room of New Police Line and instructed all the departmental officers to provide timely benefits of the schemes run to the eligible beneficiaries.

During the review meeting, District Magistrate Archana Verma gave a brief introduction about the district. After this, she informed that under One District One Product Scheme (ODOP), mainly asofoetida product has been selected in which there are 62 units.

Under the said scheme (in the last three financial years), the financial profit is Rs 260.72 lakh and the turnover is Rs 1042.88 lakh. In which 200 direct and 300 indirect jobs have been created. A residential old age home is operated at Nagla Bhus, Meetai, Hathras by the Social Welfare Department in the district through a voluntary organization – Asharfi Village Industry Institute, Chharra, District Aligarh on recurring grant.

At present, a total of 65 inmates including 25 women and 40 men are residing in the old age home. The governor was given detailed information regarding the progress of Ujjwala Yojana, Mudra Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana, Ayushman Golden Card, MNREGA, Amrit Sarovar, sports grounds, wetlands, restoration of rivers etc.

The Governor instructed to make available the progress report regarding the progress of loan disbursement in relation to the applications received under Mudra Yojana. Under the Pradhan Mantri Matritva Yojana, the amount given to pregnant women should be put to good use, for this the Anganwadi and Asha workers should be made aware of the pregnant women and to issue passbooks and check them from time to time to ensure that the given amount is used correctly. gave instructions.

It was informed that pregnant women give birth to a healthy child by taking proper nutrition. Mother’s milk should be fed to the new born baby within one hour after delivery, they should be made aware in advance that by feeding mother’s milk to the child within one hour, the infection spreading in the child can be avoided. She instructed to ensure 100 percent attendance in primary schools when the attendance of students is low in relation to registration.

After the review meeting,  Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow,  Anandiben Patel met Ayushman Yojana, Mudra Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Old Age Pension Scheme, Destitute Women Pension Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Agriculture Department Tool Kit Distribution Scheme, Horticulture Department, Tuberculosis patients. Certificates were distributed to the adoption organizations and nutritious food was distributed to tuberculosis patients. She said that benefits should be provided to the beneficiaries on time.

Addressing the meeting on this occasion, the Governor said that the Prime Minister of the country wants to make India free from tuberculosis by the year 2025. He said that Uttar Pradesh has the largest population and Uttar Pradesh itself has the maximum number of tuberculosis patients. She appealed that if the patients are adopted and taken care of, as well as they are made aware and necessary nutritious food is made available in their food, then the patient suffering from tuberculosis can be healthy in 6 to 8 months.

She said – World Tuberculosis Day is on 24 March 2023. We all have to make more and more efforts. She expressed gratitude for adopting 6 patients of the district by the institutions. She added that children studying in Anganwadi should be given nutritious diet as well as tomatoes and green vegetables. So that she does not become a victim of malnutrition and her physical development is good, as well as she said that she should motivate the girl students to study employment-based education system courses and establish their employment generation.

She appealed to the village heads to periodically inspect the primary/higher secondary schools, Anganwadi centers running in their gram panchayats and gave instructions to provide better arrangements. She said that there is no difference of any kind between a son and a daughter in today’s time. Girls are doing better than boys in every field. She appealed to provide equal education to son and daughter.

She said that the main objective of the government is that the beneficiaries should get the benefits of the schemes being run on time and everyone should work according to the same intention. So that more and more people can get the benefit of the schemes and everyone can develop equally. Senior and concerned district level officers of all the departments were present during the review meeting.
