Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Relief Commissioner Ranvir Prasad informed about the rain situation and said that at present all the embankments in the state are safe. In the last 24 hours, the average rainfall in the state is 1.3 mm, which is 19 percent against the normal rainfall of 6.7 mm.
Thus, the average rainfall in the state since June 01, 2021 till now is 563 mm, which is 93 percent against the normal rainfall of 602.9 mm.
He said that Rapti-Balrampur, Gorakhpur Budhi, Rapti-Siddharthnagar, Kunhra-Siddharthnagar and Rohin were flowing above the danger level in Maharajganj.
At present, all the embankments in the state have been reported safe. A total of 59 teams of NDRF, SDRF and PAC have been deployed for search and rescue in 41 rain-affected districts of the state, 4196 boats have been deployed in flood affected areas and 912 medical teams have been deployed. 35187 people were evacuated to a safe place by NDRF, SDRF.
Prasad informed that a total of 72562 dry ration kits have been distributed so far including 5047 in the last 24 hours. A total of 344925 food packets have been distributed so far including 3850 lunch packets in the last 24 hours. 1089 flood shelters and 1293 flood outposts have been established in the state.
A total of 1037 animal camps have been set up in the state so far. The number of animal vaccinations in the last 24 hours is 27625 and so far the total number of animal vaccinations is 614087.
