To deal with prison overload, new jails to comeup in 10 districts of Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow: The number of prisoners in U.P. jails has increased.  With a sudden increase in the number of prisoners,  the jail is full to the brim.  The Yogi government has ordered that the number of barracks should be increased and at the same time orders have been given to build new jails.

Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has become very strict about the prisoners and has ordered that the prisoners should not be spared under any circumstances. Bulldozers are being run continuously at the homes of criminals in UP, in view of which criminals are surrendering, in such a situation the number of criminals in jails is also increasing.

In order to deal with the problem of overcrowding of prisoners, the Chief Minister has directed for construction of new barracks in old jails as well as for purchase of land for the construction of district jails in Amroha, Sambhal, Shamli and Muzaffarnagar.

It has been said that the work of construction of district jails in Amethi, Hathras, Auraiya, Hapur, Chandauli, Bhadohi, Amroha, Sambhal, Kushinagar and Mahoba should be started soon.

In a recent meeting , Chief Minister Yogi issued an order that leniency should not be shown on the prisoners at any cost in Uttar Pradesh and there is a need for strictness with the prisoners.

He has given instructions to improve law and order:

Sanitary napkin dispensers and incinerators should be available at the women’s help desk.

1090 should be given the status of Public Safety Awareness Point.

Extra sensitivity should be taken in highly sensitive cases related to child sexual abuse.

Citizen centric UP CAP and Beat Prahari app should be made more effective.

Hi-tech Law and Order QRT (Quick Response Team) should be established in every district.

20 lakh people should be connected with the Digital Volunteer C-Plan App.

The recruitment process on the vacant posts in the police department should be completed soon.

In each development block, 100 volunteers should be prepared and trained for fire fighting and life saving.

Efforts should be made to set up fire stations at every tehsil level.

Women PAC battalions should be started in Lucknow and Badaun in the next two years.

Facility should be given to deposit the challan amount on the spot for violation of traffic rules.

Kotwal Dhan Singh Gurjar State of Art Police Training School should be established in Meerut.
