To make kids ready for school, CDO starts the Mandalya School Readiness Workshop

Information about the academic calendar of 12 weeks was given in the meeting held in the BSA auditorium.

Basti:  Under the National Education Policy 2020 and Nipun Bharat, the divisional workshop of Bal Vatika School Readiness Program starting from April 25 was organized in the BSA office auditorium. In the workshop organized under the guidance of Assistant Director of Education Dr. SSP Tripathi, information about the activities of Balvatika and 12 weeks was given. Selected SRG, ARP and nodal cluster teachers from the districts of Basti Mandal participated in the workshop.

Inaugurating the workshop, Chief Development Officer Dr Rajesh Prajapati said that due to the closure of schools and Anganwadi centers due to the Covid epidemic, the academic achievements of the children have been adversely affected. Efforts to remove their backwardness through school readiness program is a commendable initiative which will be accomplished with better coordination of Anganwadi workers.

He directed to make this program more effective by holding a joint meeting of the team of officials of Child Development Department and Education Department for the success of the programme.

District Basic Education Officer Jagdish Shukla said that from April 25, the operation of Bal Vatika and School Readiness Program will start in every school.

Good teachers and nodal ARPs will be honored by developing model children’s gardens in every block. With the implementation of the School Readiness Program, the quality of education will increase as well as increase the enrollment in the schools.

Program Instructor and Nodal SRG Dr. Sarvesh Mishra said that the school readiness program will be conducted in all schools from April 1 to September 15 by trained nodal teachers according to the 12-week activity calendar in class 01.

During this, the children will also be assessed twice. In the workshop, he informed about the responsibilities of nodal teachers, cluster teachers, ARPs, SRG Anganwadi workers etc. Dr. Ritu Pandey gave information about the development of Bal Vatika, its four corners and Brijesh Pandey gave information about the activities. District coordinator Sunil Tripathi informed about the construction of model children’s gardens and the work responsibilities of teachers.

He said that on April 26, a workshop of trained teachers in school readiness is being organized at all BRCs in which more information would be made available to them. Ajit Singh, Vanshraj, Janardan Shukla and others were present in the program.
