Lucknow: Vice-Chairman of UP Traders Welfare Board, Manish Kumar Gupta said that in view of the public service of entrepreneurs/traders in the entire state, traders will be honored at each district and divisional level by the Traders Welfare Board on behalf of the state government in every district.
He said that Uttar Pradesh Traders Welfare Board would honor the maximum taxpayers/entrepreneurs at the district level and 10 highest taxpayers at the divisional level/zone level on behalf of the State Government. He said that the DGP has been asked to take action as per rules to end the interference of police in checking the goods of traders.
Gupta informed that in each district, an Additional Superintendent of Police and an Additional District Officer level officer are being nominated for immediate action in case of any kind of problem, exploitation, harassment of traders and entrepreneurs.
He said that the welfare board is considering implementing the merchant pension scheme. At the district level, the district magistrate and at the Mandal level are resolving the problems of the divisional traders/entrepreneurs. Manish Gupta said that in the new system of GST, there is no provision to take any decision on the basis of discretion. In such circumstances, it is not appropriate to do so in the old cases. He said that it has been clearly mentioned by Hon’ble Chief Minister in his speeches and announcements many times that the system of exploiting traders and entrepreneurs under the guise of the right to make decisions on the basis of discretion would be completely abolished.
He said that a decision has been taken by the Traders Welfare Board to provide medical facilities to such traders whose income is around 2.50 lakhs, in which the smallest traders, hawkers, cobblers, barbers etc. According to Feriniti, the government is committed to providing employment to every registered businessman.
