Training on EVM Management System (EMS) 2.0 application completed

Lucknow:  Chief Electoral Officer  Navdeep Rinwa, while addressing the training program of EVM Management System organized at Deen Dayal Upadhyay State Rural Development Institute, Bakshi Ka Talab, Lucknow, said that in order to conduct smooth and undisputed elections, quality first level checking of EVMs and VVPATs ( Special care should be taken while getting FLC) done. He gave instructions to ensure literal compliance with the procedure laid down by the Commission and the instructions issued from time to time regarding disposal of EVM-related tasks.

02 technical personnel of all the districts of the state as well as district level EVM Nodal Officers/Sub District Election Officers were given online training on the newly developed EVM Management System (EMS) 2.0 application by the Election Commission of India. The main objective of this training is to provide information about various aspects related to EMS software operating in the context of EVM and VVPAT.

In the training program, the curiosities of the participants were also resolved by 08 state level master trainers trained by the Election Commission of India. In the training program, detailed discussions were held regarding various aspects related to EVMs and VVPAT like FLC, first randomization of EVMs, training and awareness, second randomization of EVMs, precautions to be adopted during voting and counting of votes.

Additional Chief Electoral Officer Mr. Kumar Vineet and Deputy Chief Electoral Officer Mr. Amit Singh were also present on the occasion of the training program.
