Lucknow: A basic life support training program has been started in a bid to keep the police forces abreast with best practices. Police personnel are being trained by the doctors of UP Orthopedic Association. Started on the occasion of National Bone and Joint Day. Training started on each one save one theme on road accident, disaster management, heart attack and other emergency.
Starting in 17 Districts Commissionerate Lucknow, Varanasi, Kanpur, Aligarh, Ayodhya, Bareilly, Firozabad, Ghaziabad, Gorakhpur, Meerut, Mathura, Prayagraj, Rae Bareli, Etawah, Saharanpur, Sultanpur, Agra.
The program involves Police Line, Dial 112, Traffic, GRP, PAC, and Firemen will also be trained. The program was started under the leadership of ADG Prashant Kumar at DGP Headquarters.
The basic life support training program will not only help the police become caregivers, but they will also be able to pitch in if a fellow policeman needs a caring hand. Speaking on the sidelines of the event, a cop said that there was much to learn from the unique training module. He urged the police department to organize more such events.
