Two top U.P. ministers assigned job of ensuring seamless oxygen supply

Lucknow: The government in power in the state of Uttar Pradesh is finding it hard to combat the ever-increasing challenge of Corona in the state of Uttar Pradesh. There are reports of lack of oxygen and beds from almost all the districts including Lucknow, the state capital.

Seeing the problem go out of hand now the responsibility has been entrusted upon Medical Education Minister Suresh Khanna and MSME Minister Siddharth Nath Singh. Meanwhile the Department of Health and Medical Education has been asked to make efforts ona war footing to arrange beds.

The Medical Education Minister has been asked to ensure availability of oxygen in hospitals in coordination with a large oxygen plant. It has been asked to make every effort to ensure that the oxygen supply remains constant.

At the same time, Siddharth Nath Singh has been tasked to supply oxygen to small hospitals in coordination with the MSME units producing oxygen.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed the ministers and officials of the Department of Health and Medical Education to make public the number of empty beds in hospitals and medical institutions and increase the number of beds as required.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that the state government will give all necessary incentives for setting up new oxygen plants in the state. MLA funds and SDRF can be used for this.

The decision came as a part of the review meeting that was being held for Lucknow, Prayagraj, Varanasi and Kanpur cities.
