Gorakhpur: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that after assuming the reins of the country in the year 2014 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to recognize the energy and skills of youth, entrepreneurs, handicrafts and artisans, Skill India, Startup India, Standup India Started schemes/programmes like Make in India, Mudra etc. With the formation of the government in Uttar Pradesh in the year 2017, the state government has taken forward the employment-oriented schemes of the center and the state.
The result of the same was that in the year 2015-2016, where the unemployment rate in Uttar Pradesh was more than 18 percent, despite the horrific challenge of the Corona period, it has succeeded in bringing the unemployment rate down to 2.7 percent.
The Chief Minister was expressing this idea at the inauguration of the ‘Great Employment Fair’ at Madan Mohan Malviya Technological University in Gorakhpur district.
He said that this job fair would lay the foundation for a bright future for the youth of the new Uttar Pradesh, a new India. Many such programs are going on in the state, through which work is being done to establish Uttar Pradesh as the largest economy of the country by taking advantage of the energy and talent of the youth.
Uttar Pradesh is poised to become the second largest economy of the country. Success has been achieved in doubling the per capita income of the state. Along with this, success has also been achieved in doubling the state’s GDP. In order to make the country a 5 trillion dollar economy, the Prime Minister has taken many steps with the help of handicraftsmen, entrepreneurs and youth to make Uttar Pradesh a trillion dollar economy within the next five years. To achieve this objective, it is necessary to organize such employment fairs.
The Chief Minister said that the Central and State Governments are working together to take these programs forward at a fast pace. The state government is working to connect youth, handicrafts and artisans with all the schemes. By leading them on the path of economic self-reliance, on the strength of all those youths, handicraftsmen and artisans, the work of taking Uttar Pradesh forward on the path of economic self-reliance has been done by the State Government in the last five years. He said that as soon as the government is formed again, through the third ground breaking ceremony, investment proposals of more than Rs. Recently, a big loan fair was organized in the state by the MSME department in association with the Bankers Committee. Under this, the program of providing loans to 01 lakh 90 thousand handicraftsmen, artisans and youth at affordable rates has also been successfully carried forward.
The Chief Minister said that today is the time for innovation. Everyone has to be associated with such programs according to the need of that particular area. Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology has got A grade in NAAC ranking. Getting this grade is a big achievement from the point of view of technical university. In order to excel, focus on innovation, research and study paper, to create employment according to the local requirement, provide a technical university platform for the youth to move towards self-reliance. The effort to build a drone is a good example of this. The drone can carry 20 kg of luggage. The drone can spray one acre of field in seven minutes. The use of drones will prove to be very beneficial for agriculture.
The Chief Minister said that according to the National Education Policy, work is being done to connect the students with different institutions during the course of education itself. Especially work to connect the students of vocational education, technical education with various industries. Medical and paramedical trainees should be affiliated with the hospital and medical college from day one. The more experience he has, the more skilled he will be.
The Chief Minister said that the State Government has started ‘Chief Minister Fellowship Programme’. The children of the final year who want to take advantage of this scheme should be linked to this scheme. Under this scheme, some money will be given by the industry and some money will be given by the state government so that they can meet their own expenses. Also, you will be able to pursue your studies successfully. He said that 100 aspirational development blocks of the state have been selected in the first phase. In the second phase, 100 aspirational municipal bodies will be selected. In all these municipal bodies and development blocks, one youth each will be posted under the Chief Minister’s fellowship program. In this scheme of the state government, the selected youth will be given tablet, residential facility and honorarium.
They will have to do the work of updating it by visiting daily about the government schemes and uploading the data and making it available to the government, so that information about the progress of that development block can be obtained.
The Chief Minister said that this is a big program. Under which there will be skill mapping of every family, so that it will be able to know which schemes of the government the family is getting and how many people are there in that family, who are doing government jobs, or those who are engaged in employment. Huh. It will also be known that how many families are there which have neither got the benefit of any government scheme nor have got any employment or job. On receiving the data, the government
Special programs will be run for those who are not getting the benefits of government schemes. Those families will also be identified who have never got any job, employment, self-employment. The government will take forward a massive program to connect one member of such families with employment. Such a large employment fair will serve as the basis for this campaign. Representatives of 136 companies have come to this job fair. Our target is that 10 thousand youth of Eastern Uttar Pradesh including Gorakhpur should get appointment. This job fair for 10 thousand youth will be successful with everyone’s cooperation.
Appealing to all the people to join the Amrit Mahotsav campaign of Azadi, the Chief Minister said that between August 13 and 15, the tricolor should be hoisted in every house. He said that apart from being a symbol of pride, pride and honor of our nationality, the tricolor also awakens a sense of respect for the martyrs.
In the massive employment fair, the Chief Minister gave appointment letters to 25 youths appointed to different posts in different companies. Along with this, he also disbursed Rs 1.37 crore loan to young entrepreneurs for self-employment through various schemes. On this occasion, he visited the stalls of Terracotta, Drone Stalls of Technological University, Labor Department, Skill Development Department etc. During this, the Chief Minister distributed nutrition kits to the women. Along with this, Annaprashan was also done for the children.
Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Vocational Education and Skill Development Kapil Dev Agrawal said that under the leadership of Chief Minister, Uttar Pradesh is number one in providing employment like many other sectors. This has been possible because the Chief Minister is very sensitive and cares for everyone. He said that it is the intention of the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister that the youth should become job givers instead of job seekers. He said that the department is working fast on an action plan to train youth in the solar sector and aviation sector as well.
Principal Secretary Skill Development Subhash Chandra Sharma presented the outline of the departmental works. He informed that it has been decided to organize three such mega job fairs this year. About 136 companies have registered for 18 thousand appointments in the big employment fair of Gorakhpur. Employment-oriented training is being imparted to 5 lakh youth through government and private ITIs in the state. The same number is of youth getting training every year from the Skill Development Mission.
