U.P. Governor calls for better water conservation efforts

Lucknow: State President of Uttar Pradesh Mahila Shikshak Sangh, Sulochana Maurya met the Governor of Uttar Pradesh. Fifty students from classes one to eight and teachers of the school met Chhatena block Dewa, upper primary school Badhel block Banki and primary school Bhilwal block Trivediganj.

On this occasion, the Governor advised the children to conserve water and stop wastage of food. She said that as much water or food as you need, take that much water or food in your plate and glass. By doing this, the wastage of water and food items will stop.

The Governor suggested to the teachers that if a child is not able to drink all the water, given to him or her, then store the remaining water in a big vessel and tell the children that they have wasted so much water, also put information about it on the board daily. so that children can read it.

This will gradually improve their habits and they too will be able to explain the importance of water conservation to other children and their parents. The Governor said that we can use the water stored in this way for irrigation of trees and plants.

On this occasion, the Governor honored two children, Jackie Rawat and Kumari Deepshikha respectively, with the National Award given by Wipro Company, out of five children who have done good work in the field of water conservation.

All the children present on the occasion visited Raj Bhavan Garden, Panchatantra Vatika and Gaushala etc. and shared their experiences of Raj Bhavan with the Governor. Block Education Officer Sushma Sengar, Principal and teachers of the school and children were present on this occasion.
