U.P. has its arms wide open for investors : Dr. Dayashankar Mishra “Dayalu”
Lucknow: Today, the first Invest AYUSH UP Summit was organized at Hyatt Regency Hotel located in Gomti Nagar, State Minister of State for AYUSH (Independent Charge) and Work Safety and Drug Administration (MOS) Dr. Dayashankar Mishra “Dayalu” participated as the chief guest.
AYUSH Minister said that UP is the largest state of the country and the land here is calling you for investment. Today I am a listener and am overwhelmed, this is the holy land of Maharishi Patanjali, Maharishi Sushruta, Maharishi Agastya etc.
He said that “It is not a problem if new lamps do not burn, the existing lamps do not get extinguished, let us build a new Uttar Pradesh together and become partners in its development”.
Continuous development is taking place, in this sequence it was informed by him that 454 investors have signed LOI for investment of Rs 2760 crore.
Speaking on the occasion, Additional Chief Secretary, AYUSH Department, Aradhana Shukla said that at present there are 4000 AYUSH hospitals, 105 medical colleges in the state, AYUSH University is also coming up in Gorakhpur, 40000 registered Ayurvedic doctors, 41000 registered homeopathic doctors, 16000 registered Unani doctors. , 9000 trained pharmacists, 2000 trained nurses and 800 manufacturing units are working.
There are unlimited possibilities of investment in AYUSH, nutraceuticals, cosmetics, cultivation of medicinal plants, requirement of paramedical staff, wellness tourism etc. Ayush Department is providing all the exemptions under Industrial Policy, Tourism Policy and Pharma Policy of UP.
He informed the investors that today India’s wellness market is worth $78 billion and it is growing at 5.8 to 08 percent annually. Tourism and Culture Secretary Mukesh Meshram told that the tourism department is working with AYUSH, he told that if you have Ayush Wellness Resort within 20 km radius of the tourist place, then many types of concessions are being given to the investors.
He informed that under the investment policy of tourism, additional subsidy is being given to women entrepreneurs, scheduled caste/tribe entrepreneurs and divyangs.
Aradhana Shukla told that in the last 7 years the investment in AYUSH sector has increased 06 times and the AYUSH department will provide all possible help to the investors. Assistant Commissioner Drug Control Dinesh Kumar Tiwari gave detailed information about the Pharma policy, in which 100 percent stamp duty exemption on land registry, clinical trials, R-D patent filing, electricity and subsidies are being given at many other levels, reimbursement are being provided.

On this occasion, the message of the Chief Minister was also narrated, in which it has been said that UP is emerging as the growth engine of New India, it is the largest consumer market, facilities are being provided to the investors through single window system, it is the country’s largest.
There is a big infrastructure, there is abundance of road rail routes. Uttar Pradesh contributes 8 percent of India’s GDP, there is a complete environment for investment. Additional Chief Secretary, Infrastructure and Industrial Development, UP Arvind Kumar told that investment friendly environment has been created in UP in the last 5 years and the UP government is ready to solve every problem of the investors, answers to the questions of various investors in the program were also given.
Padmashree Vaidya Balendu Prakash said there is a need for research and evidence in Ayurveda and to develop entrepreneurial skills. Along with this, special secretary Ayush Sukhlal Bharti thanked all the visitors, investors and dignitaries at the end of the program.
