Kanpur: Uttar Pradesh Industrial Development Minister Satish Mahana inspected Kanpur’s railway station Sarsaul on Friday. During this, he instructed the railway officers to start the construction of railway overbridge at the earliest. The construction of Railway Overbridge (ROB) will be started from next week at Sarsaul railway station of Maharajpur. For this, the government has released a budget of about Rs 30 crore. Satish Mahana said that very soon the foundation stone of ROB will be laid.
According to information, a railway over bridge will be constructed to relieve the people going to Narwal and Jehanabad on the Saad-Sarsaul route from the traffic jam at the railway crossing Sarsaul. On Thursday, Industrial Development Minister Satish Mahana inspected the proposed ROB site at Railway Crossing Sarsaul.
During the inspection, Satish Mahana took information about the entire project from IPS Yadav, Deputy Chief Engineer, Prayagraj Division of Railways. Officials said that the budget of ROB is around Rs 30 crore. Road Safety Works is a construction agency. Pragati Construction Limited has got the contract. ROB will be two lane which will be about 700 meters long. Four-metre service lanes will be provided on both sides.
He said that during the construction, vehicles coming from Narwal Mor will be diverted from Prayagraj Highway. Right now an alternate route has been suggested from Hathipur underpass and Khajuria underpass. The construction work will be started from next week. Satish Mahana told that very soon the foundation stone of ROB will be laid with Akbarpur MP Devendra Singh Bhole.
