New Delhi: There is good news in the festive season. The purchasing power of people in Uttar Pradesh is increasing very fast. Due to which the business activities have intensified with the increase in the market. The proof of this is the per capita tax figures in the state in the financial year 2021-22. According to this, the share of each person of the state in the total taxes received by the state government this year was Rs 16591. In the previous year 2020-21, when the economy of the state was shaken by Corona, at that time the tax burden on per capita was only Rs 11738 i.e. last year the people of UP paid Rs 4853 more tax.

The figures prepared by the Reserve Bank of India are encouraging to the government. In these figures released state-wise, in no other state, there is such a big difference in the tax revenue of the corona year 2020-21 and the subsequent year 2021-22. In the year 2019-20 before Corona, the state government got a total of Rs 322349 crore as revenue. This amount is more than the normal year before Corona at the rate of Rs 441 per person. At the same time, in the Corona year 2020-21, the state government had received a total of Rs 234297 crore, in which the tax burden per person was Rs 11738.
