U.P. Working Journalist Union strengthens base with new appointments
Lucknow: Expanding the state executive of the UP Working Journalists Union (UPWJU), senior Lakhimpur journalist Kuldeep Pahwa has been made the vice-president. Utkarsh Sinha, a well-known journalist from the capital Lucknow and editor of a noted website, has been made senior secretary.
Announcing this, UPWJU President TB Singh said that the nomination of Kuldeep Pahwa and Utkarsh Sinha will strengthen the organization. He said that Kuldeep Pahwa’s decades-long experience of working in trade union politics and journalism organizations would guide the members of UPWJU.
Welcoming the newly appointed office bearers, Hemant Tiwari, National Vice President, Indian Federation of Working Journalists (IFWJ) said that Utkarsh Sinha is a journalist dedicated to democratic values and has been fighting for journalists and victims across the country.
He said that Kuldeep Pahwa’s experience and organizational capability would take UPWJU to new heights.
UPWJU state secretary Rajesh Mishra, PP Singh, organization secretary Ajay Trivedi, Lucknow divisional president Anthony Singh and senior journalist Sunil Diwakar welcomed Utkarsh Sinha and Kuldeep Pahwa as office bearers.
